Running The Body Hungry
Since hunger is a basic survival need, your stomach is actually following orders from your hypothalamus. An area along the side of the hypothalamus detects low levels of glucose and fatty acids in your blood, and then sends a message to your stomach to contract--an event you experience as hunger pangs. Your hypothalamus starts things off by making you feel a craving for food. Your limbic system quickly supplies all the emotional associations of eating. As mammals, which are always nursed at the start of life, our brains are wired to associate eating not only with physical comfort and pleasure but also with emotional security and companionship. Your prefrontal cortex then obligingly cooks up a menu plan, which may come complete with full-color fantasy illustrations you can almost smell and taste. Your frontal cortex will then direct your basal ganglia to "Take me to the refrigerator!" Parts of the brain concerned with actually moving your muscles then spring into action. Caloric restriction is known to reduce serum glucose and insulin levels, decreasing the formation of harmful glycation products as glucose cross-links with body proteins such as collagen.This reduces insulin, which when elevated, can have a number of harmful effects, including more production of inflammatory prostaglandins, suppressing the immune response, among many other negative consequences. Calorie restriction also produces an elevation in the levels of stress hormones known as glucocorticoids. It is a moderate stressor, mobilizing the body's defenses in a benign way. Calorie-restricted animals show evidence both of lower production of free radicals in the mitochondria, and of better antioxidant defenses, as shown by increased catalase activity. There is a difference in long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids and increased oleic acid in the tissues of calorie-restricted individuals, resulting in lower levels of proinflammatory prostaglandins, derived from arachidonic acid.
The detoxification capability of Chlorella is due to its unique cell wall and the material associated with it. Zeolite clay is natural, inert, non-toxic, environmentally friendly substances that is known to remove toxic metals from waste water, land, septic systems and the air. Zeolites can adsorb huge amounts of materials such as ions or gas molecules. Zeolite clay has an unusual crystalline structure and is tetrahedral in shape, similar to a honeycomb appearance. The channels and holes in the sponge-like structure of zeolite have a uniform shape and size. The high purity of the natural deposits has aroused considerable commercial interest in the United States and abroad. The name “zeolite” literally means “boiling stones.”
Zeolite clay has been a medium for air filters, water filters, and odor control. It is environmentally friendly for waste dump sites and has been used as a filter medium for the removal of radioactive wastes and for the removal of heavy chemical toxins and heavy metals such as iron, zinc, cadmium, lead, and copper, deemed hazardous by the government, from individuals as well as from mining and water waste sites. Zeolite clay has been used successfully for the extraction of radionuclides from human beings and animals.
The natural zeolites can absorb up to 30% of their dry weight of gases, such as nitrogen or ammonia. Toxic gases, chemicals, mold, mildew, formaldehyde, and other toxins are drawn by the natural negative electrical charge into the crystal micro pores of the clay. The odors and gases are removed, not merely covered up. Research is now being done by several companies for its use as an absorbent of excess moisture, molds, and fungi. “Pouches” of zeolite clay are now available for, not only odor control, but the elimination of toxic gases and chemicals, smoke, and radioactive gases. The British Nuclear Fuels (BNF) uses this specific type of zeolite to remove radioactive strontium and cesium and, therefore, reduces the radioactivity of liquid waste discharged into the Irish Sea . Aluminum
Some people are concerned about the aluminum in bentonite. Aluminum is one of the most abundant minerals on the earth. Of all the elements, oxygen is most essential to life. Lack of oxygen in our blood and tissues is called hypoxia, and can be caused by a number of factors. Dioxychlor DC3
Dioxychlor is a natural antibiotic that kills bacteria by supplying generous amounts of oxygen to bacteria that normally thrive in little or no oxygen.
