Oxy Powder Review
We don't consider Oxy-Powder to be a complete colon cleanse like the Blessed Herbs Cleanse and the Colonix programs (see colon cleanse review chart) but could definitely be used to help alleviate constipation and get the bowels moving, or be used as a semi-cleanse when a person feels it necessary. Oxy Powder releases oxygen into the bowel and body which can help to dissolve mucoid plaque, remove compacted fecal matter and anaerobic microorganisms and encourage the growth of aerobic microorganisms. Initially it is recommended to do a 7 day cleanse with Oxy Powder by taking 4 capsules at night on an empty stomach with an 8 oz. glass of water. If you don't have 3-5 bowel movements the next day, then increase your dosage by 2 capsules every night until you achieve 3-5 bowel movements the next day. Once you find your dosage, this is day 1 of the seven-day cleanse. You will stay on this dosage for seven consecutive days. After the seven-day cleanse, take the maintenance dose as needed. The maintenance dose is the amount of Oxy Powder you took on the cleanse. It is recommended that while cleansing to take mostly alkaline forming foods, abstain from acid forming foods and drink plenty of water. They recommend taking the product indefinitely, which we are not really supportive of, as we feel a healthy vegetarian diet consisting mainly of alkaline forming foods should be sufficient to maintain good health and adequate bowel movements once the colon and body has been cleansed.
